On Wednesday the 4th November, Girringun Staff had the pleasure of spending the day with Gulngay Elders, Traditional Owners and QPWS Staff on Country.
The day focused on building relationships between Gulngay Traditional Owners and QPWS. On Thursday the 4th April 2019, the Federal Court of Australia determined that the land and waters in and around Tully is the traditional country of the Gulngay People.
Gulngay Country encompasses many National Parks that are also formerly declared under the Girringun Region Indigenous Protected Areas.
