WWF Oceania's First Voices Video - Girringun IPA

The video spotlights and amplifies the Indigenous perspective across the Girringun region and why it is so important to work with our elders and knowledge holders on country in the race to lessen the impacts of climate change on country and all living things within country.

Traditional knowledge and land and water management expertise are essential in adapting to the impacts of climate change.

Oceania's First Voices is a tripartite inititative between WWF- Australia, WWF-New Zealand, and WWF-Pacific to identify capacity gaps and strengthen the ability of indigenous civil society and local community organisations to raise the awareness of nature-based solutions to climate change.

Girringun is honoured to be a part of this important project as climate change is impacting on country and our way of life as first nations people and we offer one solution - our knowledge about country and how country should be managed.
